The British College Kathmandu MBA Students Explore Global Opportunities at AIT School of Management

The School of Management (SOM) at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) recently

welcomed 17 MBA students from the British College, Kathmandu, Nepal for an engaging campus visit aimed at introducing them to AIT’s internationally recognized postgraduate programs and vibrant academic environment. The visit provided students with valuable insights into graduate education opportunities while offering an interactive platform to engage with SOM faculty and staff.

The program began on an energetic note with an icebreaker Human Bingo activity, encouraging participants to interact, network, and learn more about one another in a fun and collaborative setting. The activity created an engaging atmosphere that fostered communication and teamwork among the visiting students before the formal presentations commenced.

Following the icebreaker, Ms. Inah Bancoro, Program Coordinator, delivered an informative presentation on the wide range of master’s degree programs offered by SOM. She introduced the students to SOM’s internationally recognized portfolio of graduate programs, including Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of

Science in Business Analytics and Digital Transformation (BADT), and Master of Science in International Finance (IF). Ms. Bancoro also highlighted AIT’s global learning environment, international faculty, strong industry partnerships, student exchange opportunities, and the school’s commitment to preparing future business leaders

through innovation, sustainability, and experiential learning.

The second part of the presentation was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Junaid, PhD Program Director, who introduced the students to SOM’s doctoral programs, including

the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and PhD in Management. He discussed the distinctive features of each program, emphasizing their strong research focus, flexible learning structure, internationally recognized faculty, and opportunities for impactful research in areas such as digital transformation, AI, sustainability, innovation, and management. Dr. Junaid also shared insights into the doctoral journey and the support available to students throughout their studies.

This visit concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which students enthusiastically discussed the career prospects, scholarships, research opportunities, and student life at AIT. The lively exchange reflected the participants’ keen interest in pursuing higher education in an international and multicultural environment.

The program concluded with a group photograph, commemorating a meaningful visit that strengthened the relationship between the British College Kathmandu and AIT SOM while inspiring future academic collaboration.
