SOM Career Ally 2025

On November 25 at Column Tower, SOM hosted the Career Ally 2025 which brought industry experts and SOM students together. Held several times a year, this was an event for our students to learn more about their future career paths from our company partners in different industries. It also exposes them to different business opportunities that they may have never encountered before.

For this particular iteration of SOM Career Ally, we were privileged to have 3 companies visit our Bangkok Campus and present about: the vision of their companies, the type of expertise which is necessary for their industry, and also what kinds of company internship/placements were available for the students. These companies include: Cafe Buongiorno, Safecoms and Drone Entry.

Eddy Bellavoine, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of SafeComs HQ presented first with a glimpse of the world of cybersecurity and he gave insightful security advice for our SOM students. Dr. Donald Ugsang, Managing Director of Drone Entry, was next and he presented about the practical application of drones in agriculture, defense and even in AI. We were also honored to have Mr. Cavaliere Peroni, CEO of Cafe Buongiorno, present about his company's legacy and accomplishments, his life story and lessons about Emotional Intelligence, and what it takes for a company to bring premium Italian cuisine in Thailand.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our company partners for taking the time to meet with our students, answer their questions, and freely give them invaluable advice for their Career Development journeys.

When Cafe Buongiorno learned that we have a coffee break during the event, they requested to bring some samples of their products for all participants to enjoy. This included premium Italian biscotti, handcrafted gourmet popcorn, grissini, meringue and assorted cookies. Not only did our students learn about Cafe Buongiorno expansion in Thailand, they also were able to have a little taste of it.
