Halloween Party 2026 hosted at SOM Building
By: Dennes Bergado Jr.
On October 30, things seem spookier at the School of Management Building. The walls were plastered with “Wanted” poster smudged in red. “Caution” and “Danger” tapes were wrapped around walls and pillars. Mysterious messages were sprawled across bathroom mirrors and room windows. Gigantic black spiders started to spread white, orange and black cobwebs throughout the building. Large words appeared in the front entrance of the building cautioning eerily to all, “Enter if you Dare”.
That did not stop many spooky characters of all types showing up to the Halloween Party 2026 to join the night celebration. In close collaboration with the AIT Student Union (SU) and the SOM Student Ambassadors (SSA), the Halloween Party 2026 was hosted at the SOM Building for all AIT faculty, staff, students and children to enjoy the festivities and ghostly atmosphere. Fairies, princesses, ghosts, burnt victims, witches, and wizards all congregated together to participate in karaoke, pong games, darts, treasure hunt and face painting and they filled the entire building. Children could be seen receiving candy and getting spooked by the resident ghost in sunglasses.
The prize for Best Makeup went to Mr. Alex as a burn victim and Ms. Sunita in her ensemble. The prize for Best Costume went to Mr. Umang as a bloody ghoul and to Ms. Simran as a Cleopatra character. Special thanks to Mr. Md. Asif Khaled, President of AIT Student Union and Mr. Suryansh Gupta and his SU team for their support and involvement in the event. We expected 150+ people to come to the event but upon their best estimation from the registration forms, it was closer to 350+ partygoers. We appreciated their support during the party very much.
We are very proud of our SSA members who have contributed their innovative ideas and preparation efforts for the Halloween Party 2026: Mr. Pranay Shrestha, (General Secretary), Ms. Raisha Manadhar (Event Team Lead), Ms. Neeru Limbu, Ms. Akayi Khine (Yvonne), Ms. Kaung Mra Thazin (Emmy), Ms. Sadikshya Aryal, Ms. Neha Sarraf, Mr. Mikhael Hoosen, Ms. Abhishree Sharma (Abi) (Marketing Lead), Ms. Kriti Chaudhary, Ms. Pramudita Amatya (Pramu), Ms. Sukrita Damrongtanyawat (Panya), Mr. Rajan Das and the rest of the SSA Members.
