The AIT School of Management is pleased to welcome two distinguished scholars, Dr. Navid Aghakhani and Dr. Milad Armani Dehghani, to our faculty starting May 1st 2026. Bringing with them a wealth of international academic and research experience, both faculty members are set to enrich the School’s dynamic learning environment and contribute to its growing reputation in business and management education. Their expertise will further strengthen AIT School of Management’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and impactful industry engagement, benefiting both students and the broader community. Dr. Navid Aghakhani holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Colorado Denver, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. His research focuses on social media analytics, e-commerce, and the broader societal and economic implications of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. His work has been published in leading journals, including International Journal of Electronic Commerce, Information Systems Frontiers, and Small Group Research, as well as in the proceedings of major conferences such as ICIS and AMCIS.
Dr. Aghakhani has extensive teaching experience across undergraduate and graduate programs in both the United States and Asia. He delivers courses in data analytics, data mining, and business technology, emphasizing hands-on learning through tools such as Python, Tableau, and modern machine learning platforms. His teaching approach focuses on real-world applications and industry relevance. He is actively involved in academic service, serving as a coordinating editor and reviewer for top-tier journals, and is committed to bridging rigorous research with practical impact.
Dr. Milad Armani Dehghani received the Ph.D. degree in Technology Management & Industrial Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. He is currently leading a Scottish
Government-funded FinTech proof-of-concept project in collaboration with the University of
Dundee and the University of Strathclyde and serves as an adjunct faculty member across
multiple universities internationally. Previously, he was a Senior Research Fellow in FinTech
at Nottingham Business School.
He has over a decade of international experience across
the U.K., Ireland, Hong Kong, and Canada. His research interests include FinTech, digital
innovation, patent analytics, IP strategy, and emerging technologies, including AI and Web3.
He is the inventor of three FinTech-related intellectual properties, founder of LayawayGo (an
AI-enabled savings platform), and has published in leading journals, including Journal of
Business Research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Technological
Forecasting and Social Change, and other top-tier outlets.
