The Doctoral Colloquium (DC2025) at the School of Management (SOM), Asian Institute of Technology, is an annual platform that brings together doctoral students, faculty, and invited experts to advance scholarly dialogue, receive constructive feedback, and refine research contributions.


This year’s colloquium explores the future of management research in the digital age, encouraging participants to link academic rigor with practical impact.



Objectives


·      Provide doctoral students with an opportunity to present their research in a supportive environment.

·      Facilitate feedback from experienced faculty and peers.

·      Build skills in research communication, publication strategy, and scholarly networking.

·      Prepare students for long-term academic and professional success.

Structure of the Colloquium


The Colloquium will feature:


  • Student Presentations: Doctoral candidates will present their work-in-progress or completed research before an academic panel of peers.

  • Faculty Feedback: Constructive comments from internal and external experts.

  • Workshops & Discussions: Sessions designed to sharpen research and publication skills.

  • Networking Opportunities: Interaction with fellow doctoral candidates, alumni, and industry partners.


Submission Guidelines


Students intending to participate are required to submit an extended abstract. Key details include:


·Abstract Length: Typically 1,000 – 1,500 words.


Structure:

o   Title of the study

o   Research background and purpose

o   Theoretical framework

o   Research methodology

o   Key findings (if available)

o   Implications for theory and practice

o   References (APA style)


Deadline for Submission: [To be confirmed by SOM – insert exact date]


Review Process: Submissions will be reviewed by a panel, and accepted participants will be invited will be invited to present at DC2025.


Preparatory Workshop Series


To support participants in preparing their submissions and presentations, SOM has organized a series of six preparatory workshops. These workshops are integral not only for DC2025 but also for your doctoral journey and future research endeavors.
