The AIT School of Management (SOM) at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) recently welcomed 12 MBA students, accompanied by one faculty member, from the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM), India, for a 10-day International Study Tour held from 1 to 10 August 2026. The immersive program was designed to provide participants with a unique blend of academic learning, industry exposure, cultural experiences, and networking opportunities, enabling them to gain first-hand insights into Thailand’s business environment and AIT’s international academic community.
The program commenced with a campus welcome, interaction session, group photograph, and guided campus tour before participants embarked on a series of engaging lectures by distinguished AIT faculty members. The academic component featured seven specialized sessions covering a wide range of contemporary business topics, including Marketing Excellence for Business Growth, Pursuing the China Dream, Capital Markets in Thailand: Past, Present, and Future, New Trends in Innovation Management, AI Meets Leadership: Driving Successful Digital Transformation, Scenario Planning, and Lessons from a Business Leader in Doing Business in Southeast Asia. These sessions provided participants with practical knowledge on leadership, innovation, digital transformation, finance, and strategic management while encouraging active discussion and cross-cultural learning.
To complement the classroom experience, the study tour incorporated an executive talk from the RMA group and industry visit to BOSCH, allowing students to observe how leading organizations apply innovation, technology, and management practices in real business settings. Participants also had the opportunity to explore Thailand’s rich cultural heritage through a visit to the historic city of Ayutthaya, providing valuable context alongside their academic experience.
The program concluded with group presentations, where students reflected on their key learning outcomes and demonstrated how the knowledge gained could be applied in their future careers. A certificate presentation ceremony and group photograph marked the successful completion of the study tour, celebrating a rewarding journey of learning, collaboration, and international engagement.
The successful completion of this program further strengthens the growing partnership between AIT School of Management and Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM), reaffirming both institutions’ shared commitment to providing globally relevant management education and fostering international academic collaboration. Through initiatives such as this study tour, AIT SOM continues to prepare future business leaders with the global perspectives, cross-cultural competencies, and practical insights needed to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world.
