On 18 June 2026, MBA students from the School of Management (SOM), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), attended the Charter Celebration of the Rotaract Club of Bangkok Global Connect, marking the club's official inauguration and its commitment to leadership, community service, and international collaboration. The club's journey began during the Unite for Action: Social Impact Hackathon 2025, hosted by the School of Management, where students, Rotary members, and community leaders connected through a shared vision of creating positive social impact. These collaborations laid the foundation for the establishment of the new Rotaract club.
The club was officially chartered with the sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Bangkok DACH and the Rotary Club of Mandalay. The celebration brought together Rotary district leaders, Rotarians, Rotaractors, and guests to commemorate this milestone.
Among the participants was Ms. Phyo Thiri Lwin, an MBA student at SOM who serves as Secretary of the Rotaract Club of Bangkok Global Connect. The sponsoring Rotary Club of Bangkok DACH is led by Professor Dr. Tobias Endress, President of the club and a faculty member at SOM, whose mentorship has supported student leadership and service initiatives.
The charter marks the beginning of a new chapter for SOM students, providing opportunities to develop leadership skills, expand global networks, and contribute to meaningful community service projects through the Rotary and Rotaract community.
