On March 19, 2025, I had the privilege of moderating a high-level panel discussion titled “Digital Innovation Alliance: Collaboration Opportunities” at the ITU Regional Development Forum for Asia and the Pacific, held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) with support from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission and the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity, the session brought together distinguished panelists from Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and India’s Department of Telecommunications.
Our discussion centered on priority areas for accelerating digital innovation through multi-stakeholder collaboration, highlighting strategic opportunities within the ITU’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance framework. Key themes included co-creation of transformative digital solutions, joint pilot initiatives, and expanding engagement in the Digital Innovation Alliance to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The session emphasized the crucial role of the ITU Area Office and Innovation Centre in New Delhi as a regional hub for implementation, capacity-building, and ecosystem development in South Asia.
