From 4 - 11 October 2025, a group of 39 students from Vietnam under the Executive MBA (EMBA) Program embarked on a study trip to Thailand that blended academic learning with practical industry exposure. The journey, held at the SOM–AIT Main Campus and the SOM Bangkok Downtown Campus, offered participants valuable insights into strategic management and real-world business practices.

Students engaged in Strategic Management sessions facilitated by Dr. Steven White, which provided a rigorous and comprehensive learning experience. The sessions strengthened participants’ capacity to analyze complex business situations and to formulate clear, evidence-based strategic recommendations. Students were also introduced to essential strategic management concepts and analytical frameworks, which they applied to real-world business contexts in developing practical and effective solutions.

A highlight of the program was a company visit to Linfox Transport Thailand, organized and coordinated by Mr. Sam Hanna. During the visit, participants learned about the company’s strategic direction, core values, and operational systems, gaining first hand exposure to how strategic management principles are implemented within a leading logistics organization.

The EMBA Study Trip was a rewarding experience that gave students practical learning and a deeper understanding of business strategy. It highlighted SOM’s strong commitment to experiential learning and its goal of preparing students to become effective and forward-thinking business leaders.
