The football match between the School of Management (SOM) and the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department was an intense and competitive encounter. ICT took an early lead, finishing the first half 1-0 ahead. However, the second half saw a thrilling comeback, with both teams displaying excellent attacking play, resulting in a 2-2 draw at full time. With no clear winner after regular play, the match was decided by a penalty shootout, where ICT emerged victorious. The game was a true showcase of skill, determination, and sportsmanship from both teams.
Mr. Sachhyam Shrestha, Chair of SOM Student Ambassador (SSA) said, "I have always believed that sports have the power to unite people, and the football match between SOM and ICT at AIT was a testament to that! It wasn't just about the game itself; it was about fostering friendships, connecting students from various departments, countries, and genders, and creating an atmosphere of fun and friendly competition.
With great participation and support from both sides, the match was a resounding success. I’m proud that this event marks the beginning of interdepartmental sports initiatives led by the SOM Student Ambassadors. I look forward to many more such events in the future!"
