AIT and National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech) Partner to Launch Dual-Degree Master’s Program in Semiconductors

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech), Taiwan, have signed a cooperation agreement to launch a dual-degree Master’s program in semiconductors and emerging technologies. This initiative marks a major step in strengthening international academic collaboration and advancing talent development in high-impact technological areas.

The partnership was formalized through reciprocal visits between Taipei Tech President Dr. Sea-Fue Wang and AIT President Prof. Pai-Chi Li. The program will be led by AIT’s School of Engineering and Technology (SET) and Taipei Tech’s Innovation Frontier Institute of Research for Science and Technology (iFirst), with a shared mission to cultivate globally competitive engineering talent.

Prof. Pai-Chi Li noted that the collaboration aligns with AIT’s transformative engineering vision and supports Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy by fostering joint development in semiconductors, AI, and other emerging technologies critical to the region’s sustainable growth.

Both institutions conveyed a strong commitment to expanding the scope of collaboration beyond semiconductors. Dr. Wang expressed potential future cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, Executive MBA (EMBA) programs, and other innovation-driven fields, reflecting a broader strategy to foster interdisciplinary education and innovation across Asia.
