The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur (IIM Sambalpur) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on November 28, 2024 to launch a dual degree master’s program starting this year. This partnership aims to strengthen academic and research collaboration, including joint research projects, workshops, conferences, and faculty development programs. It also offers staff and faculty training, capacity building, and student opportunities such as internships and education camps.
Prof. Pai-Chi Li, AIT President, expressed optimism about the collaboration, while Prof. (Dr.) Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director of IIM Sambalpur, highlighted the significant value this partnership brings to both institutions. The signing ceremony was attended by key AIT staff, including Prof. Yuosre Badir, Acting Dean of the School of Management, and Dr. Sumana Shrestha, Director of International Affairs at OIPA.
