These days, it feels like everyone is asking the same question: Will AI replace our jobs? Or is there anything left that AI can’t do? I got a glimpse of the answer at “AI and the Future of Asia,” where I had the opportunity to volunteer as a SOM Student Ambassador (SSA), an event organized by the School of Management, AIT.
Today, it seems like every business wants to connect itself to AI, some are truly transforming, while others are simply following the wave out of FOMO.
As our keynote speaker, Mr. Joon Nak Choi, highlighted, AI has become the bridge to survive, thrive and arrive. But with AI its important to understand that success isn’t just about doing better things but rather doing Things Better. Better thinking. Better solving. Better creating.
That idea stayed with me.

As someone entering this growing field, it was concerning to see two-thirds of the room full of experts and executives raise their hands when asked if they would replace employees under financial pressure. But it also made something clear: The real threat isn’t to people; it’s to the tasks they perform. And those who adapt, evolve and work with AI will not just survive, they’ll lead the future. Because while AI can replicate logic, automate workflows, and mimic conversations: it can’t truly imagine. It can’t take responsibility. It can’t dream beyond the data it’s fed.

This understanding was also shaped by the insightful panel discussions with experts from across industries. A big thank you to:
