Dr. Navid Aghakhani holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Colorado Denver, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. His research focuses on social media analytics, e-commerce, and the broader societal and economic implications of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. His work has been published in leading journals, including International Journal of Electronic Commerce, Information Systems Frontiers, and Small Group Research, as well as in the proceedings of major conferences such as ICIS and AMCIS.

Dr. Aghakhani has extensive teaching experience across undergraduate and graduate programs in both the United States and Asia. He delivers courses in data analytics, data mining, and business technology, emphasizing hands-on learning through tools such as Python, Tableau, and modern machine learning platforms. His teaching approach focuses on real-world applications and industry relevance. He is actively involved in academic service, serving as a coordinating editor and reviewer for top-tier journals, and is committed to bridging rigorous research with practical impact.
